Operating a fleet of trucks and construction equipment in harsh conditions can really take a toll on machines. This is the service truck for the unit. It has a 1500 gallon fuel tank, as well as cabinets for tools and a tire rack to haul spare tires on the back. Following the service truck is a generator trailer for running some of the construction applications and lighting.
The Little Green Army Men have long lamented the lack of any decent vehicles to take them in to combat. Most offering were either out of scale, poorly made, imported or some combination of the three,
Recently the LGAM approached the Toad Rock Shops about purchasing one of their portable bridge systems.
The purpose of the purchase was to assign the bridge system to the LGAM Corp of Engineers. Deployment has coastal area in the past had shown the need for a way to build bridges quickly over tidal creeks and other coastal water features. Designers at the Toad Rock Shops got to work and came up with a poontoon bridge system and vehicles to transport it. The objective was to enable engineers to deploy and operate self contained at a major bridge site. In certain instances a pontoon bridge could be put in place while a permanent bridge could be put in place. The following photos reveal the vehicles for the first time. Sarge came by and we shot some photos of him checking them out.
